Summary

Our research is engaged, at the frontier of practice and has a positive impact on the world around us.

This role will be associated with the GUARD project (Ensuring Interoperable and Trustworthy Knowledge Graphs for Defence and National Security AI) funded by The Turing Grand Challenge on Defence and National Security: https://ernestojimenezruiz.github.io/projects/guard/.

You will conduct research in knowledge representation, knowledge graphs, ontologies and neurosymbolic AI within the GUARD project, with a focus on interoperability, ontology alignment, validation and benchmarking. You will develop reproducible open-source validation methods using OWL integrity constraints and Datalog reasoning, create evaluation datasets, disseminate findings through publications and conferences, collaborate with partners including The Alan Turing Institute and Dstl, and support the project's long-term sustainability and impact.
