We are looking for an organised, professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our busy garage and help manage the day-to-day running of the business.
As the main point of contact between our customers and technicians, you will be responsible for ensuring jobs are booked, organised and completed as smoothly as possible. You will handle customer enquiries by phone, email and in person, book vehicles into the workshop, manage the daily diary and help plan the technicians’ workload.
The role will involve speaking with customers to understand their vehicle requirements, recording accurate job information and keeping customers informed throughout the repair or servicing process. You will explain any additional work required, obtain customer authorisation where necessary and make sure customers receive a friendly and professional service from their initial enquiry through to vehicle collection.
You will also be responsible for preparing job cards, estimates and invoices, taking payments and maintaining accurate customer and vehicle records. A key part of the position will be ordering parts, liaising with suppliers, checking availability and prices, and ensuring the correct parts arrive in time for scheduled work.
You will work closely with our technicians to monitor the progress of jobs, organise the workshop diary and help ensure work is completed efficiently and on time. This includes managing changing priorities, arranging future bookings and communicating any delays or changes clearly to customers.
The ideal candidate will be confident dealing with customers, comfortable working in a busy environment and able to manage several tasks at once. Previous experience within the motor trade or in an administrative role would be beneficial, but not essential.
