Summary

Electrical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Commercial Building – Soho, London – Up to £49,000

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading FM service provider at a commercial building in Soho, London.

The successful candidate will work in a single-person static role, taking responsibility for the day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance of the landlord services across the building. This is a great opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer who is comfortable working independently and has a solid background within commercial building maintenance.

In return, the company is offering a salary of up to £49,000, overtime opportunities, ongoing training and genuine career progression.

Hours of Work

- Monday to Friday

- 08:00 am – 17:00 pm

- 40-hour working week

- Weekend overtime available

- 1 in 2 call-out rota

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical and fabric services.

- Electrical fault finding and repairs across lighting and power systems.

- Carrying out small electrical installations, lamp and ballast changes.

- Maintaining control panels and power distribution systems.

- Completing emergency lighting and fire alarm testing.

- Carrying out basic maintenance on AHUs and FCUs, including filter changes and cleaning.

- Resetting chillers and monitoring associated plant.

- Carrying out basic maintenance on pumps and motors.

- Completing water temperature checks and basic water hygiene duties.

- Carrying out minor plumbing repairs including blocked toilets, taps and seals.

- Monitoring BMS systems and responding to alarms or issues.

- Monitoring UPS systems and taking routine readings.

- Completing general building fabric maintenance where required.

- Escorting and supervising specialist subcontractors.

- Maintaining accurate PPM, reactive and compliance records.

- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.

Package

- Basic salary up to £49,000

- 26 days annual leave + bank holidays

Requirements

- Electrically qualified – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 & 3

- 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

- Proven experience within commercial or property maintenance.

- Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience.

- Good general knowledge of mechanical and building services.

- Comfortable working independently as the sole engineer on site.

- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

- Reliable, hardworking and able to manage workload effectively.

- Must be able to provide copies of relevant trade certificates.
