The Role
Are you looking for an exciting, new role which will allow you to utilise your existing skills in a fast paced, customer focused service which is integral to supporting the wider Council? If so, this could be the role for you.
Working in a busy office environment, you will be part of the Council’s Exchequer Services, in one of three teams, responsible for providing payment functions for the council. The role involves processing payments and invoices, running reports, checking data and dealing with enquiries. You will support the wider Exchequer Services team, which includes the Council’s Accounts Payable, Payroll and Pension functions, to provide an efficient and responsive service to Council colleagues and external customers.
About You
A good communicator with excellent customer service skills, you’ll be task focussed and motivated to get the job done. You should detail-orientated and a team player who has a proactive approach to work to support your colleagues and the service.
Previous experience in a financial role is not essential as training will be provided, but you’ll need to have administrative experience and be able to follow instructions and work to strict deadlines. Knowledge or experience of processing payments and managing data electronically would be an advantage.
Please provide a supporting statement/covering letter with your CV, which should be uploaded with your application with a response to the following questions.
