The Community Centre Manager will be a visible, active, and enthusiastic leader, building strong relationships while balancing the day-to-day management of the programme, buildings, and staff. This role also involves hands-on delivery of the church’ mission, ensuring that both practical support and strategic leadership contribute to a thriving and engaged Christian community.Key responsibilities:Be responsible for ensuring that the church buildings, activities and events are managed, maintained and equipped to meet both the needs of the mission programme and all relevant health and safety and safeguarding requirementsBe an active and visible leader within both the church and the wider community establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels including programme participants, within The SA, the local council, other relevant charities and religious groups to better meet the needs of the community. This will include leading groups as required.Work with church leadership, colleagues, volunteers and community members to ensure that each individual element of the church programme has clearly defined objectives and that regular monitoring and review procedures are implemented to ensure effectiveness and consistency with church valuesProvide regular updates to the Church Leadership Team regarding the mission programmes and building resources to ensure that progress towards the achievement of agreed objectives is regularly reviewedThe successful candidate will demonstrate:Strong experience of successfully managing a complex and busy setting serving the needs of the community, showing compassion and understanding to all programme participants Demonstrable strong experience of successfully integrating and delivering multiple and diverse programmes to meet operational objectives  Experience of funding and grant application processesValid first aid and/or food hygiene certificatesIn order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, a criminal record check (Enhanced with barred list DBS Disclosure check for the adult and child workforce) and evidence of your Right to Work in the UK in line with Home Office requirements.As we are not a licensed sponsor, applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
