- Supporting the implementation and embedding of changes with CMS Operations, ensuring all impacts are identified, assessed and managed effectively
- Assessment of changes to understand their impact upon colleagues and customers, helping influence decisions made accordingly.
- Plan, coordinate and deliver implementation activities, identifying, managing and escalating potential risks and issues to support successful delivery outcomes.
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, developing and managing stakeholder engagement and communication plans to ensure alignment and support throughout the change lifecycle.
- Support the development and delivery of communication strategies, ensuring all relevant business areas are informed, engaged and appropriately involved in change activities.
- Provide line management and leadership support where required, contributing to team performance, development and delivery of objectives.
There may be some business travel.
Key Tasks
- Work collaboratively with appropriate stakeholders to determine the impact of changes on our people by completing People Impact Assessments, influencing the implementation approach and taking account of the Change Plans.
- Work with key stakeholders to quality assure, and sign off where required, all products and plans. Develop activities to support the preparation for business change, develop and share comprehensive implementation products. Attend implementation and key project meetings and development workshops.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders from all areas required to help deliver the change to ensure internal products are identified, designed and delivered on time and to the required quality standard to support successful delivery.
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues including Operations, Delivery Assurance, Modernisation Programme and DWP Digital, to ensure the change activity is progressed in a timely and collaborative manner.
- Monitor and track progress against team project plans and tracker, highlighting any risks to delivery. Support the Enablement lead / Project Manager and Operational stakeholders to maximise efficiency.
- Review and adapt service offering to operations and project managers, as appropriate to support the CMS Modernisation Programme.
- Represent Delivery Assurance at various governance forums including Business Readiness Review.
- Team participation in accordance with leadership framework, governance, risk, security and health and safety management requirements.
- Accountable for driving high quality and efficient services and performance improvement across the team, ensuring agreed objectives are met and exceeded, and addressing and resolving complex issues.
- Conducting Implementation reviews and being responsible for the continuous improvement of the provision of service, working alongside local CI champions and Change Leads.
