Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work within an innovative, dynamic and growing multi-disciplinary Community CYPMH in LSCFT- Fylde and Wyre. The children & young people who access our services present with a wide range of emotional and mental health difficulties ranging from moderate to severe. 

We are currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist to join a busy and well-respected Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service. 

The successful candidate will be expected to take a specific clinical lead role within the team in relation to psychological assessment, formulation and intervention with children and young people. You will contribute to the broader aims of the service through joint working, consultation, training, supervision, and service development/ research. You will be joining the service at an exciting time of development and will be able to help influence change going forward. 

You will benefit from an enthusiastic, hard-working and supportive peer group and will be part of a community of psychological professionals within the Trust and Network. The post-holder will receive regular supervision and professional support from an experienced Clinical Psychologist within the service. 

• To ensure the systematic provision of a high-quality specialist clinical psychology service for children and young people struggling with their mental health

• To offer advice, consultation and supervision on this client group’s psychological care to psychology colleagues, non-psychology colleagues and other non-professional carers.

• To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service. To propose and implement policy changes within the area served by the team/service.

• To utilise doctoral level research skills as a major component of the post for audit, policy and service development and research and to supervise research carried out by trainee and assistant psychologists.
