Contract: Temporary / Permanent - depending on experience and workload

Start date: 1st septemver

Hours: Monday-Friday, with occasional overtime

About the role

We are currently looking for an experienced

Concrete Repairer / Concrete Finisher to join a busy team working on projects in and around

Penrith, Cumbria (CA11).

The successful candidate will have practical experience working with concrete and be confident carrying out repair, preparation, finishing and reinstatement works to a high standard.

This is a hands-on position and would suit someone who takes pride in their workmanship, works safely and can work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Carry out repairs to existing concrete structures and surfaces.
  • Break out damaged, loose or defective concrete.
  • Prepare surfaces ready for repair.
  • Carry out concrete patch repairs and reinstatement.
  • Mix, place and finish concrete as required.
  • Repair cracks, spalling and damaged concrete.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely.
  • Carry out grinding, chasing, cutting and preparation work.
  • Prepare formwork and areas ready for concrete placement.
  • Ensure finished surfaces are level, neat and to the required specification.
  • Remove damaged materials and keep work areas clean and tidy.
  • Follow site drawings, instructions and specifications where required.
  • Work safely around other trades, plant and machinery.
  • Complete work within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship at all times.
  • Report any issues, defects or additional work requirements to the supervisor.
