Competitive Salary + Benefits
We’re looking for a sharp, proactive Compliance Technologist to join a fast-paced food manufacturing business and play a key role in keeping products, suppliers and technical information accurate, compliant and customer-ready.
Working closely with the Regulatory & Labelling Supervisor, you’ll take ownership of specifications, supplier information, labelling, artwork and technical queries — ensuring everything meets customer requirements, legislation and BRCGS standards.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced QA/Technical professional looking for their next step, or a Food Science graduate with some industry experience ready to build their career.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Own and maintain specifications for raw materials, packaging and finished products
• Review supplier technical information and ensure it is accurate, complete and audit-ready
• Manage technical documentation including HACCPs, specifications, labels and swabbing plans
• Work directly with customers to resolve technical queries quickly and effectively
• Maintain supplier approvals, records and audit information
• Create specifications for new products and keep the specification database up to date
• Use customer specification platforms including Food Logic and TraceGains
• Create, review and approve artwork against current food labelling legislation
• Support NPD and wider technical projects
• Ensure all activity meets BRCGS, customer and regulatory requirements
What You’ll Bring
• Experience in a QA or Technical role within food manufacturing
• Chilled food experience would be a strong advantage
• Alternatively, a relevant Food Science / Food Technology qualification with industry experience
• Knowledge of technical specifications, supplier approval and food labelling
• Understanding of NPD and product specifications is desirable
• Ability to interpret technical procedures and UK/EU food legislation
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation
• Confident communication skills with customers, suppliers and internal teams
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work to deadlines
Why This Role?
This is more than a technical administration role. You’ll have genuine responsibility across compliance, specifications, suppliers, customers, labelling and NPD, giving you the opportunity to broaden your technical expertise and progress your career.
