Join gesh St Georges, Epsom and St Heliers Hospitals as our Band 7 Research Involvement, Engagement and Inclusion Manager. This exciting role will lead the development and delivery of innovative engagement, involvement and inclusion initiatives across our Research & Innovation Directorate. You will work with researchers, patients, communities and stakeholders to enhance access to research, strengthen public participation, support grant development, and deliver impactful communication and engagement strategies. If you have experience in research, patient engagement, communications, and partnership working, this is an opportunity to shape the future of research across one of the UK's largest NHS groups. This role will work across all our sites and the postholder will be expected to travel to work at these sites, this will include out of hours engagement work with patients and communities.
The gesh Research Engagement Manager will support the Group Research & Innovation Directorate in the operational development of patient and public engagement initiatives in clinical research, in line with the gesh Group R&I strategy. The role will lead research involvement, engagement and inclusion initiatives across the group. They will coordinate and implement strategies to engage with clinical and academic researchers, patient groups and the public to improve the quality and accessibility of research. This includes the development and oversight of an engagement, communication and social media plan for research and innovation. They will provide specialist advice on patient and public inclusion and engagement (PPIE) to grant and fellowship applicants.
St George’s, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group cares for a population of four million people in South West London and North East Surrey.
