Where you’ll be working?

BGEN is one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear and Food and Beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.

What you'll be doing?

This role is responsible for producing accurate and commercially competitive estimates through the review and analysis of tender enquiries, technical requirements, and contractual obligations. Key responsibilities include preparing detailed cost estimates, obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotations, completing comprehensive take-offs, and liaising with internal departments to gather essential tender information. The role involves attending site visits, client tender review meetings, and project kick-off meetings to support successful project delivery. Additionally, it provides guidance and oversight to Estimating Engineers, ensuring tender submissions are complete, compliant, and delivered on time while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and commercial awareness.

You will bring:

- Good knowledge of current relevant Estimating and Commercial practice

- Good knowledge of engineering practices

- Good knowledge of project management practices

- Good knowledge of HSE systems and compliance

- Good knowledge of QA systems and compliance

- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and with clients

- High level of computer literacy

- Considerable experience in estimating packages of work to the standards required within the Power & Energy, chemical, pharmaceutical, nuclear, utilities and food & drink type of industries.
