Summary

We are representing a reputable automotive dealership in Northampton seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop. - Guaranteed minimum earnings of £40,000 per annum for the first four months

- Average earnings of around £42,500, with top performers earning approximately £58,000

- Basic salary of £33,600 plus bonus scheme

- Monday to Friday shift pattern with rota’d Saturdays

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

- Conduct servicing, repairs, inspections, and diagnostic work to high standards

- Accurately identify faults and complete repairs efficiently

- Deliver excellent customer service and ensure workshop productivity targets are met

- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge through manufacturer training

- Follow all manufacturer and company quality standards and procedures

- Complete vehicle health checks thoroughly and accurately

- Keep the work environment clean, safe and professional

- Collaborate effectively within the workshop and aftersales teams

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

- Relevant Level 3 qualification, such as City & Guilds or NVQ

- Proven experience in vehicle servicing, repairs, and inspections

- Full UK driving license

- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- MOT Tester qualification would be highly advantageous

- Prior experience within a franchised dealership is preferred but not essential

- A professional attitude, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
