Summary
The appointee will work at Northwick Park hospital, in the Maternity department, specifically within Maternity triage. They will provide Obs assessment and management of patients presenting to triage. The service has implemented the BSOTS and the appointee should be familiar with the system and be able to work with the midwifery team to ensure patients are seen on time. Excellent communication skills, team working and a patient focus approach is essential for this role. There is no on call commitment but there will be weekend working. Flexibility is a desired feature for any post holder. We are a busy department and occasionally it is necessary to modify the individual timetable should there be acute and unexpected shortage of staff. The individual job plan will be discussed in detail with the successful candidate. The appointee will be answerable directly to Clinical Director and Labour Ward Lead Consultant.
