Behaviour Mentor - Secondary SchoolsWolverhampton | Dudley | Walsall | SandwellFull-Time & Part-Time Opportunities AvailableAre you an experienced Behaviour Mentor, Learning Mentor, Pastoral Support Worker, Youth Worker, Sports Coach, or Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity within a secondary school?Hays Education is working in partnership with a number of secondary schools, specialist provisions and alternative provision settings across Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall and Sandwell who are seeking dedicated Behaviour Mentors to support young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs.This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning, build positive relationships and achieve their potential.The RoleAs a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

Provide 1:1 and small group behavioural support.

Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and SEND departments.

Support students displaying challenging behaviour.

Help pupils regulate emotions and develop positive coping strategies.

Encourage engagement in lessons and learning activities.

Act as a positive role model throughout the school day.

Support with attendance, wellbeing and safeguarding initiatives.

Build strong, professional relationships with students and families where appropriate.

Essential Requirements✅ Previous experience working within a UK secondary school setting✅ Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour, SEMH, SEND or additional needs✅ Ability to provide professional references covering your school-based experience✅ Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills✅ Right to work in the UKImportantDue to safeguarding requirements, applicants must have previous experience working in a UK school that we can obtain references for.
