This role would suit a confident driver who is comfortable travelling longer distances, completing small multi-drop routes and handling goods safely.About the companyThe employer is an independent supplier of metals and plastics, operating through service centres across the UK. Its Bristol operation supports the stockholding and distribution of materials, with delivery and processing services provided for customers across a range of industrial and commercial sectors.Key responsibilities• Driving a car or van safely and responsibly• Completing long-distance deliveries as required• Carrying out multi-drop deliveries, generally involving fewer than 10 drops• Loading, unloading and moving goods using handball techniques• Checking delivery paperwork and ensuring items reach the correct destination• Providing a professional and helpful service at each delivery point• Reporting any delivery, vehicle or paperwork issues promptlySkills and qualifications• A full, valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle• Previous driving or delivery experience• Experience of long-distance driving• Experience completing multi-drop deliveries• Ability to handle goods safely by hand• Good time management and route-planning skills• Reliable, punctual and professional approach• Ability to work independently and follow delivery instructionsBenefits• £13 per hour• Paid every Wednesday• Opportunity to be visible to local employers• Day shifts• Temporary work in BristolIf you are a dependable driver with delivery experience and good handball skills, this could be a suitable opportunity for you.Apply today.
