This role would suit an experienced driver who is comfortable with physical work, customer-facing deliveries and completing multiple drops during the day.About the companyThe employer operates in furniture manufacture and delivery, providing made-to-measure furniture and related home design services. Its work includes producing furniture in UK workshops and supporting customers through design, delivery and installation. This Portsmouth-based role forms part of its local delivery operation.Key responsibilities• Drive a car or van safely and responsibly• Complete multidrop deliveries, including more than 10 drops when required• Load, unload and move furniture using safe handball techniques• Check delivery items before leaving and report any issues• Follow delivery schedules and directions• Provide a professional and helpful service at each delivery• Complete required delivery records and paperworkSkills and experience• Previous experience in a driving or delivery role• Experience of multidrop work involving 10 or more deliveries• Confident carrying out handball duties• Good organisation and time-management skills• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently• Polite and professional manner• Physically able to handle furniture safelyQualificationsNo formal qualification is specified for this role.
