Summary
Orthopaedics – Specialist Physiotherapist (B6) 0.8 (30 hours)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Physiotherapist to join The Trauma and Orthopaedic Therapy Team.The Team is based across 2 sites: elective surgery at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and Trauma Orthopaedics at Peterborough City Hospital. The postwill be based at the Peterborough site but cross site working at both will be required, through predominantly 6 month rotations.
As a large and thriving team we are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking and professional individual to join our friendly and supportive Therapy Service. We are invested in enhancing your specialist clinical knowledge as well as supporting and developing your managerial and leadership skills.
Modern healthcare delivery requires a 7-day service to meet patient needs and maintain safe and effective care. Therefore weekend working is required, however the current staffing model is based on a 6 day rota pattern.

Interviews for this role will be conducted in person to assess relevant skills effectively.
• To enable Physiotherapy to provide Therapy Skills within the inpatient service
• To ensure safe, efficient and effective delivery of patient focussed care in line with identified evidence-based practice, local and national standards
• To work collaboratively within Multidisciplinary and Multi-agency Teams
• To participate in delegated projects for service development with the team
• To act autonomously in the assessment and treatment of patients within the speciality who may have a complex presentation
• To demonstrate a flexible approach to working in support of the whole in patient/outpatient team
• To maintain the level of respiratory competence required to work B oncall
• To undertake weekend working as required within service developments
• To be available to provide Clinical Supervision
• This role entails 80% Clinical Contact and 20% Operational Management as appropriate within team requirements
• To guide Band 5 and support staff in the management and delivery of therapeutic care plans
Priority will be given to colleagues identified as at risk through the Trust’s redeployment process.
