Job Role:
A unit manager is an experienced healthcare professional in charge of the day-to-day operations of the unit. They collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, physiotherapists and other medical staff when performing their daily duties.
Unit Managers Roles & Responsibilities:
•Leading the team to ensure that the health and safety of the residents is prioritised and that quality outcomes are achieved.
•Oversight of person centred care plans and the safe administration of medication.
•Ensuring the unit complies with regulatory standards.
•Liaising with other health professionals and being active in the promotion of independence.
• Responsible for ensuring a safe admission process, good clinical governance and addressing any concerns.
