Summary

We areseekingan enthusiastic and creative Specialist CAMHS Nurse Practitioner with Prescribing qualifications and Neurodevelopmental CAMHS experience, to come and work in the socially and ethnically diverse borough of Tower Hamlets.

The service includes professionals from various disciplines including psychiatry, nursing, social workers, psychology, occupational therapy,psychotherapyand family therapy, who come together to provide high-quality holistic care for young people and their families.  

This is a community-based post, acrossthe Neurodevelopmental Teamand the ADHD pathwaywithin Tower Hamlets CAMHS. The post holder will directly contribute to the positive working environmentwithin the service. The post holder willrequirea high degree of professional autonomy and self-management andwill berequiredto account for their professional practice through appraisal and audit.  

Within theNeurodevelopmental Team, the post holder will provideevidence-basedepisodes of care,assessmentsand treatment to young people with moderate to severe Learning Disability. The post holder will bring clinical knowledge and skills to this team. NDTprovidea broad range of evidence-based interventions including an established groupprogramme,PositiveBehaviourSupport, ASC assessment clinic,Melatonin sleep clinic,consultation to CAMHS colleagues and schools, and direct work with children and their families, which the post holder will contribute towards. The post holder will join committed and enthusiastic colleagues.  

Within the ADHD pathway, the post holder will contribute to the assessment and treatment of young people and families in this pathway, as well as leading on service development/quality improvement projects in the service. The post holderwillprovideassessments andevidence-basedinterventions for children and young people with suspected neurodevelopmental disorders.  

The role will also provide a non-medical prescribing service within CAMHS principally to children and young people withsleep difficulties andADHD and their families.
