Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) – Croydon | Up to £70,000 FTE

We are seeking an experienced and autonomous

Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join a friendly and supportive GP practice in

Croydon.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ANP looking to develop their career within a progressive primary care setting. You will be joining an established multidisciplinary team with strong clinical support and the opportunity to work autonomously across a varied patient population.

Both full-time and part-time applicants will be considered.

About the Role

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and management of patients presenting with a wide range of acute, minor illness and long-term conditions.

You will work alongside GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team, with the opportunity to manage your own patient workload and utilise your full scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities

Independently assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute and minor illnesses

Conduct telephone and face-to-face consultations

Manage patients with long-term conditions

Undertake clinical examinations and assessments

Request and interpret appropriate investigations

Prescribe safely within your scope of practice

Provide appropriate safety-netting and follow-up

Recognise and manage deteriorating or acutely unwell patients

Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and other services

Support health promotion and preventative care

Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records

Work collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses, Pharmacists and the wider MDT

Contribute to clinical audits, service development and quality improvement

About You

The ideal candidate will be an experienced

Advanced Nurse Practitioner who is confident working autonomously within primary care.

Essential:

Registered Nurse with active NMC registration

Advanced Clinical Practice / ANP qualification or equivalent

Independent Prescribing qualification

Significant experience working within primary care

Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills

Confident managing acute and chronic presentations

Excellent communication and consultation skills

Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions

Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
