Senior Financial Accountant needed in Dorset Paying £27.05 per hr ref 376951

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Key Responsibilities

Support the preparation and delivery of annual statutory accounts and financial statements.
Lead on capital accounting, treasury management activities, and statutory financial returns.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements.
Liaise with external auditors, actuaries, valuers, and other professional advisors.
Provide technical financial accounting expertise and guidance to finance teams and senior stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement in financial accounting processes, controls, and systems.
Support strategic financial planning, including capital programmes and medium-term financial strategies.
Lead, develop, and mentor finance colleagues, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.
Build effective relationships with senior leaders, Chief Financial Officers, and operational stakeholders.
Deputise for the Head of Financial Accounting when required, providing leadership and decision-making support.
