Summary

If you take pride in producing a flawless surface finish-and you enjoy hands-on work that makes a real difference-this is a brilliant opportunity with our client, a reputed employer supporting manufacturing in South Oxfordshire.

What you'll be doing:

* Check and identify defects on GRP mouldings, ensuring any rework is completed to standard

* Carry out gel coat repairs to remove imperfections and joint lines from split mould tools

* Fair surfaces and polish gel coat to achieve a high-quality finish

* Trim GRP components using tools such as air saws, routers and diamond cutting discs (where required)

* Sand and finish cut edges using abrasives to get the detail right

* Maintain high standards of workmanship and keep your workstation tidy

* Assist with other manufacturing tasks as directed by the Finishing Team Leader

* Support training by helping new production operatives (when required)

* Work safely, use PPE correctly, and uphold HSE standards-reporting any shortfalls

What you'll bring:

* Knowledge and experience to carry out gel coat repairs, trimming, filling, fairing and polishing to a high standard

* Strong attention to detail with a methodical, quality-focused approach

* Ability to work efficiently and effectively to meet production requirements

* A team-first attitude, while still being able to work independently when needed

* Comfort working to deadlines in a timely manner

* Previous experience of finishing GRP or paint finishes/detailing
