Key Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging, subject-varied lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

Lead the development of a core subject area in line with the National Curriculum and school goals.

Foster academic, social, and emotional growth while maintaining high standards of pupil welfare and behaviour management.

Work alongside therapists, external specialists, and support staff to deliver comprehensive care.

Monitor individual growth, keep detailed records, and manage safeguarding protocols diligently.

Essential Criteria

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.

Proven background in a primary or special school setting, ideally supporting children with SEMH needs or Autism Spectrum Conditions.

Strong collaborative skills, emotional resilience, patience, and adaptability.

Full eligibility to work in the UK (an enhanced DBS check is mandatory).

Desirable Criteria

Experience managing EHCP documentation, annual reviews, or subject leadership.

Familiarity with trauma-informed practices, therapeutic methods, and guiding teaching assistants effectively.
