Computer Science Teacher & IT Integration Specialist, long-term temporary and ongoing, full-time starting September 2026

Duties as Computer Science Teacher:

  • Teach Computer Science and Digital Skills from Year 1 to Year 8
  • Deliver specialist Computer Science lessons to pupils in Years 5–8
  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons covering coding, programming, digital literacy, computational thinking, and online safety
  • Support teachers across the school in integrating technology into classroom learning
  • Promote innovative and effective use of educational technology
  • Help develop and enhance the Computer Science and IT curriculum
  • Inspire pupils to become confident and responsible users of technology
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress

Ideal Computer Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Strong knowledge of Computer Science, ICT, and educational technology
  • Experience teaching primary and/or lower secondary age groups
  • Ability to teach coding and computational thinking across a range of age groups
  • Passion for technology-enhanced learning
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Creative and innovative approach to teaching
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
