KPI Education is recruiting a Hair & Beauty Vocational Tutor to join an Alternative Provision in Stoke-on-Trent, supporting young people through practical, engaging vocational education.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Hairdresser, Beautician, Hair & Beauty Tutor, Assessor or vocational professional who wants to move into a rewarding education-based position.

The Opportunity

You'll take responsibility for delivering engaging Hair & Beauty programmes while providing learners with the encouragement, structure and mentoring they need to progress.

This is about much more than teaching practical skills. You'll build relationships with young people, develop their confidence and help them recognise what they can achieve through education, training and employment.

What will you be doing?

• Deliver engaging practical Hair & Beauty lessons

• Create innovative and accessible learning activities

• Mentor and motivate young people within Alternative Provision

• Monitor individual learner progress and achievement

• Develop workbooks, schemes of work and curriculum resources

• Provide regular feedback and adapt your approach to individual needs

• Maintain a professional and safe salon environment

• Support learners with individual learning and achievement plans

• Maintain accurate attendance, progress and compliance records

• Promote positive behaviour, safeguarding and learner wellbeing

• Help learners develop employability and transferable skills

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders

What are we looking for?

KPI Education would love to hear from candidates with a strong Hair & Beauty background who genuinely enjoy working with young people.

You'll need excellent communication skills, strong organisation and the ability to build rapport with learners who may require additional encouragement and support.

Experience within schools, colleges, Alternative Provision, apprenticeships or vocational training would be advantageous.

Most importantly, you'll need the energy and resilience to create a learning environment where young people want to participate and succeed.
