Summary
Customer Service Advisor
Location: Crewe, CW2
Pay: £12.78 per hour
Contract: Temporary, ongoing
Hours: Shifts between 8:00am and 8:00pm Monday to Friday, including 2 out of 3 weekends - Saturday 9.00am-6.00pm/Sunday 10.00am-5.00pm
Duration: Temporary ongoing leading to permanent for the right candidate
The role:
We are currently recruiting for a
Customer Service Advisor to join a well-established company based in Crewe.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced customer service professional who enjoys speaking with customers, resolving queries and working as part of a busy, supportive team.
You will be responsible for handling a high volume of inbound customer calls and providing a professional, helpful and efficient service. The role involves dealing with a variety of customer enquiries, claims and account-related queries, so confidence on the telephone and strong communication skills are essential.
Main Duties:
• Handling a high volume of inbound customer calls in a professional and friendly manner
• Responding to customer enquiries and resolving issues efficiently
• Supporting customers with various banking schemes and related queries
• Processing and managing customer claims
• Following up and chasing outstanding claims to ensure they are progressed efficiently
• Providing customers with clear and accurate information
• Recording customer interactions and updating internal systems accurately
• Escalating more complex queries where appropriate
• Working closely with colleagues and other departments to ensure a smooth customer experience
• Maintaining a high level of customer service while working in a fast-paced environment
About you:
• Previous customer service and call centre experience
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Confidence when speaking to customers over the phone
• A professional and friendly telephone manner
• The ability to remain calm and helpful when dealing with complaints or challenging situations
• Strong attention to detail and accurate administration skills
• The ability to manage a high volume of calls while maintaining excellent customer service
• Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems
• A reliable and flexible approach to working hours
