This is a key leadership role within a complex and high-profile division covering Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine, Same Day Emergency Care and Hospital Out of Hours, working closely with primary care, ambulance services, and system partners.

At a time of significant transformation, you will support the delivery of key priorities including improving emergency access and patient flow, reducing crowding, maintaining ambulance handover performance, strengthening Same Day Emergency Care, and supporting admission avoidance.

Working closely with the Divisional General Manager, Clinical Director and Director of Nursing, you will provide operational, strategic and professional leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate patient care. You will support performance management, financial and workforce planning, productivity improvement, governance, service transformation, and quality improvement across the Division.

The role requires a visible and credible leader who can respond effectively to operational pressures, lead change, build strong relationships and deliver sustainable improvements for patients and staff. You will deputise for the Divisional General Manager and play a key role in managing escalation and operational issues across all service areas.
