NHS 24 is welcoming applications from experienced, NMC registered adult nurses to join the team as a Clinical Supervisor. In this role, you’ll use your expertise to deliver high-quality clinical supervision within our telehealth service, supporting colleagues and helping ensure safe, person-centred care for patients. As NHS Scotland's unique provider of a national tele-health and tele-care service, we are responsible for the delivery of health advice and information by telephone and online services to the population of Scotland 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. NHS 24 is a patient-focused service providing the people of Scotland with triage, advice, guidance, referral and information on health and healthcare services.

Where We Are:

Our Regional Centres are located at Aberdeen, Cardonald, Clydebank, Dundee and South Queensferry. This role is advertised for our Cardonald, Clydebank, Dundee and South Queensferry Regional Centres.

This Role:

•Deliver high-quality telephone triage, using your clinical expertise to ensure safe, effective and person-centred care in a fast-paced and innovative service

•Work as an autonomous practitioner, applying professional judgement, knowledge and experience to undertake comprehensive clinical triage of patients

•Ensure patients and their families receive timely, appropriate, safe and person-centered care, demonstrating compassion, respect and clear clinical reasoning in all decision-making

•At times act as a trusted source of real-time clinical support for peers and non-clinical staff contributing to safe decision-making and outcomes.

•Provide clear, accurate and accessible healthcare information to patients and carers, supporting understanding and informed choices

•Offer tailored self-care and health improvement advice, supporting patients to manage their condition safely where appropriate

•Direct patients to the most appropriate service or care setting, ensuring individual needs are fully considered

•Recognise and respond to clinical risk and acuity taking appropriate escalation action to maintain patient safety
