Shift Pattern: 5 days out of 7, including weekends
Shift Times: 7 am - 3 pm OR 11 am - 7 pm OR 7 am - 7 pm
Parking on site/ Meal on shift if working 6+ hours / Uniform provided

As a Chef at Sodexo in Nuffield Health Brighton Hospital, you’ll play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals that support patient wellbeing and enhance the overall dining experience. You’ll be responsible for managing your own section of the kitchen, ensuring every dish meets our high standards. What you’ll do:
- Prepare and deliver high-quality, nutritious and appealing food for patients, staff and visitors.
- Follow menus, recipes and dietary requirements to ensure food is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard.
- Maintain excellent standards of food safety, hygiene, allergen management and health and safety.
- Ensure the kitchen and all work areas are clean, safe and well organised throughout each shift.
- Support the smooth running of the kitchen and work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent service.
- Monitor food quality and presentation, reporting and resolving any issues promptly.
- Support special functions and provide cover for colleagues when require
What you bring:
- Previous experience working as a Chef in quality-focused catering environment; healthcare experience is desirable.
- A good understanding of food safety, HACCP, allergens, hygiene and health and safety requirements.
- A passion for producing great-quality food and delivering an excellent experience for patients and customers.
- The ability to work efficiently, follow recipes and instructions, and manage tasks effectively.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a positive and flexible approach.
- Good organisation, reliability and attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn, develop and complete relevant training.
