Summary

A reputable accident repair centre in York is actively seeking an experienced Panel Beater to join their busy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Panel Beater looking to develop a long-term career within a nationwide automotive accident repair group. The successful Panel Beater will benefit from competitive remuneration, excellent working conditions, and clear career progression prospects.

- Competitive salary of up to £59,800 per annum

- Paid breaks included in the 50-hour working week

- Working hours: Monday to Friday, with 1 in 2 Saturday mornings subject to business demand

Panel Beater Duties:

- Replace and repair damaged or compromised bodywork panels

- Conduct chassis and framework repairs

- Perform welding and panel bonding tasks

- Complete bumper and door repairs as needed

- Maintain thorough knowledge of current product and repair techniques

- Deliver high levels of customer service to promote customer loyalty and referrals

- Adhere to health and safety standards and maintain an orderly work environment

- Complete duties as specified on job cards, ensuring work meets manufacturer and company standards

- Prioritise workload effectively, working independently while supporting team members during busy periods

Requirements:

- Recognised qualification in automotive Panel Beating or actively working towards an IMI certification

- Consideration will also be given to Panel Beaters with extensive panel beating experience and no formal qualifications

- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

- Good organisation skills and initiative to prioritise tasks

- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining effective communication with colleagues

- A UK driving licence with minimal points
