Summary

Collect all hospital waste and laundry in accordance with the schedules set by the Environmental Services Supervisor. Segregate, transport and process specific categories of waste as dictated by the Trusts Policy for the Management of Waste. To operate the Trusts electric vehicles, bulk waste compaction machines. To ensure that all aspects of the Waste Permit Conditions are adhered to. Place specific categories of waste in the appropriate skip for off site disposal or recycling, as indicated by the Environmental Services Supervisor. Cleaning of bulk waste storage areas and waste containers as per schedule determined by the Environmental Services Supervisor. Carry out external environmental duties, as per schedule including the collection of litter, emptying of bins. Carry out inspections of all mobile equipment used. Follow the incident reporting procedure in the event of accidents occurring during environmental activities. To carry out any other duties, appropriate to the role, as may be delegated.
