Summary
Job Description Band 7 Practice Nurse Reports to: Lead Nurse (clinically and operationally), Practice Manager (administratively) Core clinical work to include: Chronic disease management o Asthma annual reviews o COPD annual reviews o Diabetes annual reviews o Hypertension annual reviews Cervical smears Wound care Routine immunisations childhood and adult Various injections contraception, hormone treatments, B12 etc Travel vaccines Ear syringing Audiometry Anticoagulation INR dosing Additional clinical work to be completed when required: BP checks Phlebotomy 12 lead ECG Suture removal Chaperone NHS Health Checks SMI review/health check Learning Disability health checks The successful post holder will work effectively as part of our clinical team, maintaining the highest standards of professional integrity, confidentiality, medical documentation, professional dress and health and safety working. They will participate in the ongoing CPD programme within the surgery and with appraisals as required.
