Summary

To undertake the following duties. Please note: this list is not exhaustive. Please see the detailed job description for more information. To assist women with their personal care needs, maintaining privacy and dignity Prepare the environment for clinical activities, supporting women and their families and making ready specific equipment as necessary. To assess and monitor the womans skin integrity and to report and document immediately any changes or concerns in their condition. Recognise when a womans condition changes and seek advice and expertise from registered practitioners in accordance with Trust policy. Provide evidence-based advice and support in relation to Infant Feeding and with support from the midwife be able to put a feeding plan in place if necessary. To also support the woman with her feeding choice in a theatre setting. To support the women, should she wish, to undertake skin to skin in theatre. To help get women ready for theatre including gown and TEDS To support getting partner ready for theatre
