What you'll do:
- Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals for residents and staff.
- Manage the kitchen independently and make sure meals are ready and served on time.
- Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and maintain high food hygiene standards.
- Check stock levels and order or replenish ingredients and supplies when needed.
- Work well with colleagues and communicate clearly to keep the service running smoothly.
- Follow all health, safety and food hygiene procedures, including when working alone.
What you bring:
- Previous experience in a professional cooking or catering role is essential.
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures.
- Able to work independently, manage your time and prioritise tasks.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, self-motivated and confident working alone.
- Positive and flexible, with the ability to work well with others and follow procedures.
