This daytime driving role is suited to a reliable professional with trunking experience who can work safely, efficiently and to schedule.Key responsibilities• Complete trunking work using an HGV Class 1 vehicle• Carry out vehicle safety checks before and after each journey• Follow planned routes, delivery instructions and site procedures• Ensure goods are handled securely and transported safely• Complete required paperwork and delivery records accurately• Maintain high standards of road safety and professionalism• Communicate effectively with transport and depot teamsSkills and qualifications• Valid HGV Class 1 licence, Category C+E• Current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)• Valid digital tachograph card• Previous HGV Class 1 trunking experience• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and road safety requirements• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively• Professional communication skillsAbout the companyThis organisation operates in food retail, with a particular specialism in frozen food alongside groceries, chilled products, fresh produce and household essentials.
