Summary

We are looking for a friendly, reliable Personal Assistant to support our 14-year-old son. Our son is a bubbly, outgoing, and quick-witted young man who loves being out and about. In his dad's words, he's "mad as a box of frogs!" He enjoys attending drama classes, swimming, gaming, and anything car-related. In fact, he is absolutely car mad.

We are looking for someone who can help him access the community, enjoy the activities he loves, and continue to build his independence and confidence. The role will involve accompanying him to activities and outings, providing practical support where needed, and helping him make the most of new opportunities.

Our son has a physical disability and uses a powered wheelchair. He requires support with some physical tasks and assistance when out in the community. A full UK driving licence is essential, as you will be required to drive his Motability vehicle. Applicants must be aged 21 or over for insurance purposes.

Experience of supporting children, young people, or individuals with disabilities would be welcomed but is not essential. More importantly, we are looking for someone who is patient, enthusiastic, has a good sense of humour, and can build a positive relationship with our son.
