Summary

World Shirdi Sai Baba Organisation (UK) is a charitable organisation that has been serving the community with spiritual needs and many activities since 2010. The principal objective of the charity is to promote Shirdi Sai Baba’s teachings and with the great support of staff, volunteers and contributions the origination has grown. We have two temples and can extend enormous support to all devotees of Shirdi Sai Baba within our community and other communities. We are looking for an experienced Minister of Religion (Priest) to perform religious prayers and ceremonies at our temples

Duties and Responsibilities

All duties and responsibilities must be carried out with diligence.

Primary responsibility is to conduct and lead daily prayers (puja) and aarti at the temple

To conduct prayers during Hindu festivals, traditional events and other ceremonies.

Responsible for Abhisekham (bathing the deity).

Involved in the daily running of the temple.

Spread the universal teachings and philosophies of Shirdi Sai Baba.

Greeting members of the public visiting the temple from different faiths, arranging for Shirdi Sai Baba conferences to promote the image of Baba’s Teachings and educate all visitors about the faith and basic teachings of Lord Shirdi Sai Baba.

Participating in community activities for better interfaith and public relations for the local community, providing spiritual growth to the youth through educational programs and religious conferences.

Supervise, plan, and administer religious education programs for adults and children.

Requirements

Must have the necessary knowledge and be eligible to be appointed as a priest. Must know the appropriate chants (mantras and strotas) fluently in Sanskrit and be familiar with the materials required to perform the puja for various ceremonies and rituals.
