Electrical Engineer – Industrial Building Maintenance
Location: Coventry
Job Type: Temporary – 3 Months
Pay Rate: £22.27 per hour

Our client, a leading facilities management provider, is currently recruiting for an experienced
Electrical Engineer to join their team working within a busy
industrial environment.
The initial contract will run for
3 months, with the potential for the position to become
permanent for the right candidate.
The role will involve carrying out a combination of
planned and reactive electrical maintenance, alongside general building maintenance across the site. This is an ideal opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer who enjoys a varied role and is confident working in an industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
•
Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the site.
•
Diagnose and repair electrical faults.
•
Complete electrical inspections, testing and remedial works.
•
Maintain lighting, power supplies, distribution boards and associated electrical systems.
•
Carry out general building maintenance and fabric repairs where required.
•
Respond to maintenance requests and breakdowns in a timely manner.
•
Complete PPMs in line with the site maintenance schedule.
•
Identify potential faults and maintenance requirements before they become issues.
•
Work alongside other engineers and contractors on site.
•
Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with relevant regulations and procedures.
•
Maintain accurate records of works completed.
Requirements
•
City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent.
•
18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
•
Previous experience working as an Electrical Engineer within a commercial, industrial or facilities management environment.
•
Strong fault-finding and electrical maintenance experience.
•
Comfortable carrying out a mixture of electrical and general building maintenance.
•
Good understanding of health & safety requirements.
•
Able to work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team.
•
A proactive approach with good communication skills.
