Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our client’s thriving franchise-approved service centre in Talbot Green. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to develop their career within a reputable, family-run car dealer group.

- Competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience

- Performance-related bonus averaging approximately £4,800 per year (£400 per month)

- Overtime paid additionally at time and a half

- Working hours Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Vehicle Technician Duties:

- Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs according to manufacturer and dealership standards

- Accurately diagnose vehicle faults and report on vehicle conditions, including safety, reliability, and performance

- Adhere strictly to quality procedures and manufacturer guidelines

- Maintain high standards of workmanship in a busy franchise environment

- Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and sharing technical expertise

- Assist in vehicle inspections, MOT testing (if qualified), and service-related tasks

- Report complex issues to the Service Manager, providing detailed diagnostics reports

Requirements for the Vehicle Technician position:

- Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

- At least one to two years of post-qualification experience

- Valid UK driving licence with minimal points

- Motivated, committed, and a team player

- Ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment

- Experience with vehicle electronics, diagnosis, or light commercial vehicles is advantageous but not essential

- An active MOT Smart Card and relevant diagnosis experience are preferred
