Hays Education are working with a specialist SEN college in Coventry to recruit caring, resilient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support students aged 16-25 with a range of additional needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people, helping them to develop independence, communication skills and confidence both inside and outside the classroom.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support students with a range of needs including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, PMLD and complex needs

Work closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver engaging learning activities

Provide 1:1 and small group support

Support students with personal care where required

Encourage independence and promote positive outcomes

Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

We Are Looking For

Experience working with children or young people in a school, care, youth work, support work or similar setting

A patient, caring and positive attitude

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

The ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations

A genuine passion for supporting individuals with additional needs
