Captiva Learning part of Impact Futures Group have an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to join our team as an

Internal Verifier. 

The Role

The Internal Verifier (IV) is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of assessment decisions across all

qualifications, including adherence to funding compliance requirements.

The IV will sample assessment practice, provide developmental feedback to Development Coaches, and ensure that all assessment

activity meets awarding organisation and funding body requirements and standards.

The role focuses on assessment practice and verification, ensuring that learners are assessed fairly, consistently, and in line

with qualification and funding requirements, and that any identified risks are addressed and followed through to achieve the

intended outcomes.

The role will involve:

* Plan, conduct and record sampling of assessment decisions across programmes and levels in line with the internal verification

strategy and sampling plan.

* Ensure all assessment decisions are valid, reliable, fair and sufficient, taking corrective action where required.

* Identify inconsistencies or risks in assessment practice and implement appropriate actions to ensure standardisation across

assessors.

* Provide clear, constructive and developmental feedback to Development Coaches to improve the accuracy of assessment decisions

and the quality of evidence.

* Support Development Coaches to develop their understanding of qualification standards, assessment criteria and awarding

organisation requirements.

* Monitor the quality and consistency of assessment feedback provided to learners, ensuring it supports progression and meets

expected standards.

About You

Essential

- IV up to L5 within sector

- D32/33, A1, CAVA or equivalent

- IQA/V1 or equivalent

- Level 2 Maths & English

- Experience of assessment delivery and internal verification

- Strong understanding of awarding organisation requirements

- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

- Strong IT skills and confidence in using different systems

- Ability to provide clear and constructive feedback
