Summary

Glazing Technician | Optical Production Operative

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a

Glazing Technician to join a busy overnight production team in Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in

glazing, fitting or optical manufacturing who is detail-oriented, hands-on and committed to delivering high-quality products.

Working as part of the night shift production team, you'll be responsible for glazing, fitting, edging, mounting and inspecting spectacles while helping to ensure production runs efficiently and quality standards are maintained.

What We Offer

£20.00 per hour.

Monday to Friday, 10pm-6am.

Temporary night shift position.

Opportunity to work within an optical manufacturing environment.

Key Duties

Glaze, fit, edge and mount spectacles.

Carry out final inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.

Manage priority customer orders and urgent work-in-progress (WIP).

Maintain ISO quality standards and health and safety requirements.

Operate specialist equipment safely and effectively.

Support continuous improvement activities.

Complete clear and accurate shift handovers.

Work closely with production teams to maintain efficient workflow.

Requirements

Previous experience in glazing, fitting or optical manufacturing.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.

Commitment to quality, productivity and teamwork.
