KPI Education is looking for a compassionate, academically strong Psychology Graduate to join an inclusive London secondary school as a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant.

This role has a particular focus on supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

For a Psychology graduate considering Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, SEN teaching or another child-focused profession, this is an opportunity to build substantial school-based experience.

What Will You Be Doing?

Your role could include:

• Providing dedicated support for pupils with EHCPs

• Delivering structured 1:1 interventions

• Supporting small groups inside and outside the classroom

• Breaking down tasks into accessible steps

• Helping pupils develop organisation and study skills

• Supporting positive engagement with lessons

• Recording progress and sharing observations with relevant staff

• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral professionals

• Helping students become increasingly independent

• Supporting academic, social and emotional development

Depending on the school's needs, you may work with pupils presenting with autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, cognition and learning needs, or social, emotional and mental health needs.

Who Are We Looking For?

You should hold a Psychology degree, ideally at 2:1 or First-Class level, and have a genuine interest in supporting young people with additional needs.

Previous SEN experience is advantageous but not essential. More important is your patience, emotional maturity, reliability and ability to build appropriate, consistent relationships with young people.

This isn't simply a graduate job to fill a year.

For the right candidate, it offers the chance to gain sustained, practical SEN experience and develop a much deeper understanding of how psychological principles translate into everyday educational support.
