Are you caring, adaptable and looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference? Join our friendly team at Paddock Way, a supported living service in Acomb, York, where you'll support people with learning disabilities and autism to live fulfilling, independent lives.

At Paddock Way, we currently support two gentlemen with different needs, providing personalised support that promotes independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes.

💬 About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will:

Support people to develop daily living skills and increase their independence

Assist with cooking, budgeting and maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment

Provide personal care and support with eating and drinking where required

Support people to access activities, hobbies and opportunities within their local community

Assist with managing finances and attending health appointments

Administer and record medication as required

Promote choice, dignity and person-centred support at all times

Complete daily records and support documentation

Work both as part of a team and independently during lone-working shifts

🕒 Shift Details

This is a 26-hour per week position, with additional relief opportunities available.

Shifts vary in length and may include:

Days

Evenings

Long day shifts of up to 12 hours

Weekends

Waking nights

Bank holidays

Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the people we support.

🎓 Experience & Training

Previous experience is helpful but not essential. If you have the right values, attitude and willingness to learn, we'll provide:
