About the Role

As General Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for the operational, financial and regulatory performance of the home, ensuring exceptional standards of care are delivered every day.

You'll lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team, champion person-centred care and work collaboratively with residents, families and external professionals to create a welcoming, safe and vibrant community.

Your leadership will be instrumental in driving occupancy, developing talent and ensuring the home continues to deliver the highest standards expected of Crystal Care Collection.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership for the day-to-day management of the home.

Create a positive, inclusive culture where residents receive outstanding person-centred care and colleagues feel valued and supported.

Lead, recruit, develop and inspire a high-performing team through coaching, supervision, performance management and succession planning.

Ensure the home remains fully compliant with all Health & Social Care legislation, regulatory standards and company policies.

Monitor and continually improve quality, resident outcomes and overall service delivery.

Manage staffing levels and resources effectively to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality care.

Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.

Oversee financial performance, including budget management, cost control and reporting.

Drive occupancy and reputation by supporting enquiries, conducting tours and promoting the home's exceptional offering.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the home remains a centre of excellence within the local community.

About You

Essential

Previous experience managing a care home or similar regulated healthcare service.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop and inspire teams.

Experience managing budgets and delivering financial performance.

Thorough understanding of Health & Social Care legislation and regulatory compliance.

Proven track record of recruiting, retaining and developing high-performing teams.

Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

A compassionate, approachable and professional leadership style.

Hold, or be working towards, an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent).

Desirable

Experience working with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and regulatory inspections.

Knowledge of Person Centred Software (PCS).

Understanding of local authority commissioning processes and relationships.

Working Pattern

Monday – Friday

9:00am – 5:00pm

40 hours per week

Flexibility to support the operational needs of the home, including occasional evenings or weekends where required.

Salary

£65,000 – £75,000 per annum
