Summary
We are looking for an experienced, pro-active, detail-minded, hands-on Assistant Winemaker to help 2026 harvest work for our afternoon shift during picking days (2-3 weeks) after which we go back to normal work hours 08:30-17:00.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise grape reception, press loading, crushing, juice allocation and additions
Inoculations, co-ordinate pump-overs, fermentation monitoring, basic lab analyses (pH, TA, SG)
Help with malolactic fermentation (mother culture, malic acid tests etc.)
Ensure accurate documentation of cellar activities and grape weights
Maintain hygiene across all equipment and work spaces
Communicate effectively with the Wine-Maker and Cellar Hands
Monitor cellar supplies and report needs
