Summary
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Electrician in HMYOI Brinsford
The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. Staff are required to work on a rota basis between 07.45am – 16.45pm (07.45 -15.45 on a Friday). There will be a need to work 1 in 4 weekends, but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary).
The base salary is between £30,866 - £36,135 dependant on experience.

What you will do:
Planned and preventative electrical maintenance, including administrative duties aligned to the tasks.
Actively fault finding / problem solving on electrical systems across the prison.
Carry out like for like replacements and other electrical minor works with the relevant electrical inspections and tests carried out and results recorded in accordance with BS7671.
Ensuring that all electrical systems are safe, compliant, and functioning effectively helping to create a secure and well-maintained environment for staff and residents.
Assist the Responsible person and Authorised person when requested.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring that Health & Safety standards, Risk Assessments, and Safe Systems of Work are consistently implemented and followed across all appropriate work streams.
Assist escorting duties and other duties as required.
