Description

We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Disrepair Surveyors (PO2) to join our team on an interim basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, providing expert assessments and surveys related to property disrepair. The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in identifying, documenting, and reporting on the condition of residential properties affected by disrepair issues. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including tenants, contractors, legal teams, and housing management, to ensure that repairs are accurately identified, prioritized, and actioned in a timely manner. This position requires strong technical knowledge of building structures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prepare comprehensive reports that will support legal and remedial processes. As Disrepair Surveyors, you will be instrumental in upholding the quality and safety standards of housing stock, contributing to improved living conditions and compliance with statutory requirements. The interim nature of the role requires adaptability and proactive problem-solving skills, as you will be expected to manage multiple cases simultaneously and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines. Responsibilities

Conduct thorough surveys of properties with reported disrepair issues.

Prepare detailed inspection reports including photographic evidence and cost estimates.

Identify and classify types of disrepair affecting residential properties.

Liaise with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to facilitate repair processes.

Advise on necessary remedial works and prioritize according to severity and urgency.

Ensure compliance with relevant housing standards, regulations, and legal requirements.

Support legal teams by providing technical expertise and evidence for disputes or claims.

Monitor ongoing repairs to verify quality and completion within agreed timelines.

Maintain accurate records and case files to support effective case management.

Hours Per Week: 35.00

End Time: 17:00

Pay Per Day: £80.08
