Summary

Serco Limited

Ready to impact a better future?

Join us at RAF Brize Norton and help deliver Serco’s contracted transport operations. You’ll keep standards high, stay aligned to authorised procedures, and support safe, efficient services that make a positive impact every day.

What you’ll do as a Transport Administrator

·       Transport department administrative tasks

·        Review telematics summary reports for suspected breaches of agreed safety parameters — investigate, verify accuracy, and take actions required by the relevant authorities.

·        Manage fuel agency cards — reconcile statements against fuel receipts.

·        Manage electric vehicle (EV) charge cards — issue to sections operating EVs and maintain an up-to-date database.

·        Coordinate course loading for RAF Brize Norton, parented, and lodger unit colleagues who require driving/ADR (hazardous goods) courses in line with Ministry of Defence (MoD) policies and procedures.

·        Carry out other reasonable, relevant tasks as directed by the Compliance and Training Manager.

·        Champion a positive Zero Harm culture with open, honest reporting of near misses and safety-related occurrences.

·        Help us deliver effective, efficient, right first time, every time outcomes in line with our values and behaviours.

Does this sound like you?

·        Competent with Microsoft Office and an excellent communicator (especially verbally).

·        Familiar with the Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI) system — desirable, with training available.

·        You bring customer focus, trustworthiness, clear communication, respect for difference, resilience, personal drive, and a growth mindset to your work.

This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, depending on the nature of the role, you may need to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.

Discover all you need to keep growing You’ll find headroom to grow, support to build new skills (including required systems and processes), and a team that values care, innovation, and pride in work that touches lives and creates impactful solutions for communities — today and into the future.

·        Holidays: Competitive Holiday package

·        Pension: Up to 6% contributory pension scheme

·        Training and development: Over 1,100 internal courses available, funding for qualifications and apprenticeships (including L3 Team Leader and L5 Operations Manager apprenticeships), mentoring opportunities, and a focus on internal progression

·        Health and wellbeing: Employee Assistance Programme, Bupa Anytime HealthLine, wellbeing app, 30% off at Serco-managed leisure centres, and 24/7 access to a virtual GP service

·        Discounts: Discounts across around 1,000 retailers, from food and clothing to days out, entertainment and travel

·        Charity: Paid volunteering day, tax-free charitable giving through Payroll Giving Scheme, donate your pennies from your monthly pay to the Serco People Fund Charity
