Summary

We are working on behalf of our client to recruit a highly skilled and experienced Panel Beater for their busy bodyshop in Plymouth, Devon. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Panel Beater seeking to advance their career within a reputable automotive repair business committed to quality and customer satisfaction.

Duties of the Panel Beater:

- Repair or replace vehicle panels, chassis, and structural components, following manufacturer specifications

- Dismantle and reassemble vehicles with precision, employing jigging, welding, and structural repair techniques

- Ensure all repairs meet high standards of quality and customer expectations

- Maintain tools and work area in a safe, clean, and organised manner

- Mentor and support less experienced colleagues to uphold repair standards

- Adhere strictly to health and safety policies and procedures

- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure timely progress

- Attend training sessions to stay updated on new repair techniques and technologies

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Panel Beater with relevant industry background

- Knowledge of modern repair methods, including aluminium and high-strength steel

- Familiarity with structural repairs, chassis alignment, and workshop procedures

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with keen attention to detail

- Understanding of manufacturer specifications, technical bulletins, and repair processes

- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented

- Willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional development

- IMI Accreditation is desirable but not essential
